Creative North’s first Creative Jam!

Ever thought of creating a new game or film?
What if you were challenged have something ready to show an audience in 24 hours, with a prize pot of £5,000 up for grabs? Let’s Jam!
Kicking off on the 20th of February with an introduction to Jams, you’ll have a chance to hear and be inspired by people in industry, to get your team in place, and ask questions.
The real work starts on the 26th of February, where we reveal the topic and rules of the event LIVE at M-SParc and on our website at 9am. You’ll then have until 6pm on the 27th of February to create your game or film, ready to present at our pitching event. You can stay at M-SParc for the duration, designing and working as a team, or you can meet at one of our satellite locations, including Stiwdio Vedri which is available on the 27th, or online! You’ll need to be at M-SParc for 6pm on the 27th for the big showdown!

9:00: Arrival & Registration
9:30: Opening and introduction, with a chance to hear from industry and people who’ve participated in Jams before.
11:00: Get into teams! If you haven’t got a team when you arrive, we’ll do everything we can to support.

Thursday 26th to Friday 27th of February (Link)
9:00: The Jam theme is revealed.
9:05 – onwards = JAM!
Snacks will be provided at M-SParc.
6pm Friday 27th We’ll host our celebratory event! This event is open to the public, anyone can come along to enjoy the experience, have some hearty food, and see what the judges decide. Our team is there to support you all along the way.
Games – You will bring the game as a playable; on your laptop or device, people will be able to play your game to test and score it.
Films – You’ll need to bring your film on a laptop or USB, these will be shown to the whole audience during the event.
